About Entropy

Entropy is a small but impactful consultancy that has two specialisms: MMM / econometrics and marketing consultancy. It was set up by Alex Tait who prior to Entropy worked in a variety of marketing and digital leadership roles in the marketing industry, most recently as UK Media & Marketing Services Director at Unilever.

We are challenging legacy MMM suppliers with an approach that draws on our team’s unique client-side, agency and data science experience to provide a service that is more customised, transparent, cost effective and faster than most other providers. Our ambition is also to provide outputs and a process for econometrics that is easier to understand and action for marketers.

The role

We are looking for an exceptional econometrics lead due to a recent significant new business win. You’ll have a thorough practical working knowledge of econometrics and be comfortable engaging with client and prospects as part of our sales process.

Responsibilities in the role will include

Supporting in the development of Entropy’s Econometrics business as the leading provider of predictive modelling through the following:

  • Lead several clients over a range of industries
  • Sell-in / assist with sell in of projects to clients, including pitches
  • Produce outstanding marketing evaluation projects to our clients
  • Exceptional data analytics
  • Presentation delivery to the client
  • As we grow personally recruit and manage the development of a number of consultants and analysts. Also lead a team of consultants and analysts to produce outstanding marketing evaluation projects
  • Helicopter view in developing tools and ideas to grow the business into new areas using the latest techniques
  • Involvement across the business including project management, revenue growth management, new business, research & development, improving internal processes and tool development

Requirements 

The role will require the following attributes:

  • Proven first class deliverer of high value client media/advertising/digital analytics projects
  • Ability to manage project timelines and deliverable schedules
  • Define, source, extract and transform analysis input data from multiple sources/platforms
  • Oversee development and implementation of Marketing Mix Models, utilizing multivariate regression analysis
  • R/Python (or similar) coding experience
  • Ability to explain complex modelling in a very clear and simple manner with proven client presentation skills
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Very good track record of selling projects to clients
  • Econometrics /Economics / Mathematics (with Econometrics)/ DataScience degree with 2.1 or higher
  • Ability to master knowledge of clients’ business, competition, and latest industry news and trends
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • Knowledge of digital attribution techniques would also be useful.
